We Have Removed Your Universal Analytics Widgets

As a follow-up to the complete phase-out of Universal Analytics on July 1st, 2024, we've removed all existing UA widgets from your reports and templates. This may have changed the layout of your reports containing any UA data, as some widgets might have shifted.

πŸ“ˆ Review and Adjust your Reports:

We highly recommend reviewing and manually adjusting any reports that included UA widgets, as the format may be affected. This also includes your scheduled reports, which will continue to be sent out according to their set schedule unless you manually deactivate them.

Swydo Simplified: Goodbye to Online Reports

We have some important news to share. We have simplified the report-sharing options to only Dashboards and PDFs.

Here is all you need to know about this update:

  • Online reports are being deprecated to streamline your user experience, so you won't see them available as a sharing option in any of the places where they were listed before.
  • Dashboards will be the sole online format going forward. We’ve added a toggle to allow you to choose whether to enable or disable date range changes, which was the main distinction between dashboards and online reports.

What will happen with my existing online reports?

  • Any scheduled online reports will automatically become dashboards, with date range settings disabled by default, which you can manually enable.
  • All your existing online report links will remain active until further notice.

This change aims to make report-sharing easier and clearer, with dashboards as the only online format available. Plus, it sets the stage for future updates and functionalities. πŸš€

Facebook Deprecates Metrics: What it means for your Swydo reports

Heads up! With Facebook's move from Classic Pages to the new Pages experience, some metrics you used to find in Facebook Insights are no longer available. This change also means these metrics are no longer accessible in Swydo.

To prevent any issues such as empty data or errors in your existing reports, we recommend reviewing any reports that use these metrics and making any necessary adjustments.

Meanwhile, we are taking proactive steps to automatically remove these deprecated metrics from any report where they were previously displayed. However, please note that this action may take a few weeks to be fully completed.

Email Default Content Upgrade

We've just rolled out an update to our email feature, ensuring that any email messages sent without prior customization will be preformatted with default content to enhance readability.

If you're sending a one-time email or scheduling a report and find yourself short on time to add a custom message, worry not! Swydo will handle it for you by populating your message with the following default content: team logo, client name, a standard message, best regards, your name, and a link button to your shared online report, online dashboard, or PDF.

Also, if you have a designated signature, we will add this one instead of your name and remove the 'best regards' to avoid overlapping with your greetings.

Easily Toggle Cover Page On and Off

Would you like to remove the cover page or header from your dashboard or PDF? If so, we're pleased to share that we've added a new feature that allows you to do just that with a click.

Here is How

Simply navigate to the 🎨 palette icon in the top menu, select 'Cover Page', and flip the blue toggle to enable or disable the cover page or header of your report. Voilà!

We are excited to share that our new resizable reporting grid has been fully released and is available for all our customers. πŸ™Œ

With this new feature, you can arrange charts, KPIs, tables, text, and images in various sizes expanding your customization options and gaining more control over the appearance and readability of your reports. You can also add a border to your widgets and change the background color of your reports.

Style borders and backgrounds

We've also introduced a new feature allowing you to personalize your data widgets with borders and change the background color of your reports. Simply navigate to your brand templates and choose your desired settings. By default, all new brand templates will showcase sleek grey borders and a grey background. Your current templates will retain their original style, featuring borderless designs with a crisp white backdrop.

Transitioned Reports and Enhanced KPI Display

All your existing reports have been seamlessly transitioned to the new design, maintaining their current style until you choose to modify them. Now, instead of three KPIs, you'll find four, providing even more insights at a glance. However, this change might result in some empty spaces, so you'll need to manually adjust them to ensure your reports look just right.

But that's not all! We've optimized the KPI design for better readability, with change and comparison data now displayed under the result number. Plus, we've abbreviated long KPI numbers when used at 25% width for easier comprehension.

Trash Bin: Never Lose a Report Again

We've added a new Trash Bin feature to our reporting tool, allowing you to:

βœ… Get an overview of your deleted reports for up to 90 days before permanent removal.

βœ… Easily restore reports if needed during that time.

Where to Find It

Access your deleted reports in the three dots menu at the top right corner of the reporting page.

To Manage Your Trash Bin:

  • Click on Reporting in the left menu.
  • Select 'Deleted Reports' from the three dots menu to access your deleted reports page.
  • Choose a report to delete, restore, or use the 'Clear deleted reports' button at the top to empty your Trash Bin completely.

New GA4 Dimensions and Capabilities

πŸš€ Google has released a new update to GA4, and so did we! A new set of dimensions and a more extensive data limit is now available for GA4 reporting, helping you to go deeper into your data πŸ™Œ. Check what's new!

Custom Channel Group

We have introduced the display of Custom Channel Group as a dimension. Now, you can conveniently view the same data in GA4 interfaces as you have set up in your custom channel groups.

Important to note:

πŸ‘‰ Each property allows for a maximum of two custom channel groups.

πŸ‘‰ If no custom channel group has been set up in GA4, no dimension will be displayed in Swydo.

πŸ‘‰ We have introduced the ability to filter by a custom channel group, if one has been defined.

Session Campaign Name and Campaign ID

We have also introduced Session Google Ads Campaign Name and Session Google Ads Campaign ID. With these new dimensions, you can now gain deeper insights into your Google Ads campaigns at the session level, allowing for more precise analysis and optimization.

Time Dimensions

That’s not all. We have also added new time dimensions to help you gain insights into different time ranges and uncover hidden trends within your GA4 data.

You can now slide your data by Day of the week, offering the day of the week in English, and Iso Week, providing ISO week numbers starting Monday.

You can also gain a broader perspective with metrics such as Iso Year and Year Month, which combine year and month values for comprehensive analysis.

Additionally, you can use dimensions like Iso Year Iso Week and Year Week for a detailed understanding of ISO week dates and yearly performance.

Goodbye quota limits

New Metrics Available In Pinterest, TikTok, CallRail and Google Ads.

Hey everyone!

We’ve got some exciting updates to share regarding our integrations. We have added a new set of metrics to Pinterest Organic, TikTok Ads, CallRail, and Google Ads. Take a look at what’s new:

Pinterest Organic:

Based on user requests, we’ve introduced a new widget that allows users to monitor their organic boards’ performance. These boards are curated collections of pins marketers use to showcase their products. With this new Board Performance Widget, you can track user engagement, including clicks and saves on the content within your boards. It’s a great way to determine which boards are most popular among Pinterest users.


TikTok Ads

With the latest update, you can now measure Engagements, including likes, comments, shares, and clicks, to gauge the overall performance of your TikTok ads. Additionally, the Engagement Rate metric allows you to calculate the percentage of engagements relative to impressions, providing valuable insights into content effectiveness. Moreover, you can now track individual budgets for specific ad groups through the Ad Group Budget metric and monitor the overall budget allocated for your TikTok campaigns with Campaign Budget. That's not all! We have also made Campaign Dedicate Type, App Promotion Type, Smart Target, Bid Strategy, Bid, AEO Report, and Call To Action available to enhance your advertising experience on TikTok further.


CallRail:

We’ve added a Milestone category field for Calls and Forms, enabling you to monitor your target audience’s progress through the sales funnel. This feature includes milestones like First Touch, Lead Created, Qualified, and Last Touch. Additionally, we’ve enhanced the options for analyzing forms, introducing metrics such as Good Lead, Total Forms, First Forms, and Lead. You’ll also find Time dimensions to track form submission growth and the ability to segment by Form URL, Person Id, First Form, and Medium. Furthermore, you can now include UTM source, Medium, and Campaign information in your reports.


Google Ads:

After an API update, we’ve introduced new metrics and dimensions for better insights. You can now analyze the performance of β€œThings To Do” Ads Campaigns with the Travel Activity Group and Travel Activity Performance metrics. Additionally, we’ve added metrics like Avg. Target CPA Micros and Avg. Target Roas for more comprehensive analysis. You’ll find new dimensions to analyze product segments, hotel branches, and Geo-targeted locations at the Campaign, Ad Group, and Account levels. Moreover, we’ve expanded the dimensions of Auction Insight Domain and Conversion Attribution to Account, Ad Group, and Keyword Performance.

What is a Favicon, you ask?

Check out the new Reports Overview

The Reports section has been updated with a more modern and simple design to help you find your reports easier and spot all essential information in one view.

The new Reports Overview includes the report’s name, the icons of the integrations used in the report, and scheduled info, all in one view. It also has a new top menu bar with a search bar and filters to search reports by Client or Status.

We have also made it possible to assign multiple participants to a client instead of limiting it to a single account manager and several contributors.

All teams with the beta feature active in their settings can now access our new Reports Overview.

What’s new in the Reports Overview?

βœ… A top menu bar with a search bar and filters to search reports by Client or by Status.

βœ… An overview with all the reports' names, the icons of the integrations used in the report, and scheduled info, all in one view.

Not a beta user yet?

Go to your Settings and activate your Beta Features under Team.

πŸ‘‰ This option is only available for admins, as it will make the beta features available to the entire team.

In case you deactivate the beta feature, make sure you share with us the reason why you are opting out. Your input will help us improve the feature before it is fully released.

New updates to Semrush, Callrail and Youtube

New Form Submission metrics added to CallRail

The CallRail integration is updated with form submission metrics to allow you to report the performance across multiple touchpoints. With this update, you can now report Raw Leads from Campaigns, Total Form Submission from source, keyword, referring page, and landing page, and use Tags as a filter.


Semrush default widgets updated

If you are a Semrush user, you can now report your Adwords Cost and Adwords Traffic within the competitor performance table widget and use Adwords Cost as KPI.


Youtube API update

Youtube has added the option to add City and Creator Content Type as dimensions to their reports, and so did we. As of now, customers can show their clients the city where the user activity took place, as well as the type of content that is associated with the user activity, such as shorts, story, or video on demand.


Google Search Console update

Our Google Search Console integration has been updated with new default widgets, allowing you to create a complete report in seconds.

Start sharing results on KPIs such as Impressions, CTR, and Avg Position, as well as metrics such as Clicks by Country/Territory, Clicks by Device, and Sitemap Performance.

Do you want to become a beta user and be the first to test our work-in-progress features? You can now activate this option in your Settings and receive new beta features as they're released automatically. πŸ™Œ

How? Go to Settings/Team/Beta Features and set yourself ready to receive the next beta release automatically:

βœ… You can also disable any beta features and share feedback on why you didn't like them, which will bring valuable insights to our team.

Customize your Monitoring default date range

We have added the option to customize the default date range of the monitoring feature, which is standardly set to 30 days.

Do you usually monitor a different timeframe? Now you can set your default date range by going to settings/data/monitoring date range and adjusting it how you want. Simple!

New Facebook update

We are happy to share that we have new metrics available for your Facebook reports. Check out what's new:

Facebook: 28-day click attribution is back πŸ™Œ

Facebook deprecated this metric a while ago, but after much criticism, it was reintegrated, and so did we. You can find it under Filter in the Campaign Insights widget.

Why are advertisers so happy?

By using the 28-day attribution window, you can observe the actions taken by a user within 28 days before conversion. It is a very useful metric to understand the customer journey and the steps to achieve conversion.


Page Rating

Do you want to show how a Facebook page is rated on your reports? You can now use the Page Rating metric, which is determined by various factors, including user reviews and recommendations about your business page.

This metric can be used with the Custom Page Insights Widget.

πŸ‘‰ Keep in mind that only Pages that have enabled Recommendations are eligible to display a rating, and a Page may not have a rating if it hasn't received enough Recommendations.


Messages

We have also added a few new metrics to help you track and report the conversations on your Facebook page. These are Total Conversations, Marked as Spam Rate, Conversations Marked Spam, Blocked Rate, and Total Blocked Conversations.

Where to find these metrics? Go to Custom Page Insights Widget and find them under Messages:

Google Search Ads dimensions added to GA4

Our GA4 integration is updated with a set of Google Search Ads 360 dimensions, including Session SA360 Ad Group Name, Session SA360 Campaign Name, Session SA360 Creative Format, Session SA360 Engine Account ID, Session SA360 Engine Account Name, Session SA360 Engine Account Type, Session SA360 Keyword, Session SA360 Medium, Session SA360 Medium, Session SA360 Query, Session SA360 Source, Session Campaign ID, and Session Campaign Name.


Google Business Profile update

We have made significant changes to the Google Business Profile Integration in response to their latest updates, including new metrics, name changes, and removals. Here is what’s new:

  • New Metrics added: Total Interactions, Booking, Food Orders, Messages, Map Views (Desktop), Map Views (Mobile), Map Views (Total), Search Views (Desktop), Search Views (Mobile) . Search Views (Total), and Search Terms.
  • Renamed: Action Website to Website Clicks, Actions Phone to Call Clicks, and Actions Driving Directions to Business Direction Requests
  • Removed: Queries Direct, Queries Indirect, Photos Views Merchant, Photos Views Customers, Photos Count Merchant, Photos Count Customers, Local Post Views Search, and Local Post Actions Call to Action.

Google Ads update

Our GA integration has been updated to its latest version, which brings a set of new metrics, including Campaign Primary Status, Campaign Primary Status Reason, Publisher Purchased Clicks, Publisher Organic Clicks, Publisher Unknown Clicks, and No. of clicks for Sitelinks in the landing page view report. Unfortunately, Google has removed Gmail ads support, and so did we, but you can use Discovery Campaigns instead.


UX updates

Redesigned User Overview

Our user profile page has been updated with a new design to give it a fresher look and make it easier to navigate and invite team members. Check yours out now if you haven’t done it yet.

Changes to the top menu

You can now find the sections User Profile, Help & Support, and Latest changes at the bottom of the sidebar instead of in the top menu. This change allows us to provide you with a cleaner screen and an improved navigation experience.

Check out the latest releases of the year!

Our team has been working hard to prepare for the last releases of 2022 before heading toward the Holiday Season. We have launched a new design for the date range picker, added new metrics to Facebook, Callrail, and Google Analytics 4, and released a few improvements to the Semrush integration.

New Date Range Picker

We have redesigned the Date Range Picker to ensure it is always visible so you can access it and modify it easier. You can find it now in the top bar's right corner. The new design includes a new icon, a side settings panel, an updated customization flow, and permanent visibility on the reporting page.

Semrush improvements

Domain analyses made easier

We have optimized the Semrush integration to make creating project/domain analysis reports easier. Instead of having the hassle of adding filters each time you want to specify data for a project, you can now use a separate data source for each domain. This way, by default, all your data will be linked to it when creating your report, saving you time.

New competitor's PPC Metrics

How much are your competitors spending and driving from PPC? We have added two new metrics to help you evaluate your competitor's paid strategy and find answers to these questions: AdWords Traffic and AdWords Cost. Add them to your Semrush report now and start benchmarking your PPC efforts.


Facebook Updates

Video Total Play Time

We added a new metric for Videos: Video Total Play Time, which tells you how much time viewers have spent watching your content.

Uncategorized Category

We also added the Uncategorized category to show data of people who opted out when filtering a KPI by publisher or placement.

FB Ads results metric deprecated

We deprecated the Results metric of Facebook Ads due to changes in how FB measures them. Of course, you can still track the results of your FB ads campaigns, but to do this, you need to select the targeted metric associated with the campaign objective. For example, if you set your campaign objective to "conversions," you need to choose the type of conversions results you want to see, such as "leads" or "purchases."

Be aware that as of this week, you can't add the results metric to any widgets anymore. If it's already used on a report, make sure you replace it manually or remove it.


Callrail:

We have made a minor update to the Callrail integration to help you track back your leads' timeline faster. As of now, you can find a new Timeline-URL field with a link to the lead's timeline.


Google Analytics 4

The Google Organic Search field has been updated with four new metrics:

  • Organic Google Search clicks
  • Organic Google Search impressions
  • Organic Google Search click-through rate
  • Organic Google Search average position.
